Azkals-Sri Lanka match tickets on sale next month

Tickets for the Philippine Azkals' World Cup qualifying match against Sri Lanka will go on sale on June 3 at all Ticketworld outlets. The Azkals will host Sri Lanka on July 3 at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC) for the second leg of their World Cup Qualifiers. Their first match will be played on June 29 in Sri Lanka. Philippine Football Federation (PFF) tournament chairman and volunteer treasurer Bonnie Ladrido is in charge of the ticket sales. The PFF also teamed up with Ticketworld to help them with the distribution of the tickets. Ticket prices are P200, P300, P2,000 and P3,000. The Azkals are training at RMSC to familiarize themselves with the pitch. The winner of the Azkals-Sri Lanka home-and-away series will face Kuwait in the next round. The Philippine team will also play exhibition matches against Iloilo-based teams from May 23 to 24. While most of the Azkals are Ilonggos, this will be the first time the team will play in Iloilo after the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Challenge Cup. The Iloilo-based players in the team include co-captain Emilio "Chieffy" Caligdong, striker Ian Araneta, Mark Ferrer, Joebel Bermejo, Nestorio Margase, Roel Gener, Yanti Barsales, and Richard Becite III. - JVP, GMA News
