Phivolcs: Magnitude-3.9 quake hits Ilocos Norte

A magnitude-3.9 quake rocked Ilocos Norte in Northern Luzon Saturday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said. In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the quake was recorded at 8:28 p.m. and was tectonic in origin. The quake’s epicenter was 118 km northwest of Pasuquin town in Ilocos Norte, Phivolcs added. It, however, did not initially cite specific areas where the quake was felt. No aftershock was expected from the quake, it said. — JE, GMA News
