Bong-Lani renewal of vows to bring together FVR, Erap, Arroyo

Senator Ramon Bong Revilla Jr. and Cavite Rep. Lani Mercado-Revilla will renew their vows during their 25th wedding anniversary celebration on Saturday — an event that will bring together the biggest names in Philippine society, including three former Philippine leaders. According to the wedding invitation distributed to the media on Tuesday, the renewal of vows will be conducted at the Shrine of St. Therese of the Child Jesus in Pasay City at 3 p.m., while the reception will follow at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza. Revilla said it's rare for showbiz couples like them to last 25 years so they really want to commemorate the occasion. "Parang isang magandang regalo ko na rin sa aking (This is my gift to my) better half... sabi ko nga kahit 50 beses pakakasalan ko siya (I told her I'd even marry her 50 times)," he told reporters in an interview on Tuesday. Among those invited as principal sponsors were former Presidents Joseph Estrada, Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, Fidel Ramos and wife Amelita Ramos, Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim, actress Gretchen Cojuangco, former Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia Villar, former Senator President Ernesto Maceda, former House Speaker Jose De Venecia Jr. and wife former Rep. Georgina De Venecia; Petron chairman and CEO Ramon Ang and wife Teresita, GMA Network chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, Regal matriarch Lily Monteverde, UCPB board chairman and former GMA Network Inc. president and CEO Menardo Jimenez, GMA Network president and COO Jimmy Duavit, film producer-director Armida Siguion Reyna; PLDT chairman Manuel Pangilinan, National Grid president and CEO Henry Sy Jr., GMA Network senior vice president for entertainment TV Wilma Galvante, Revilla's manager Lolit Solis, Viva Entertainment boss Vic Del Rosario, and host German Moreno. On the other hand, the secondary sponsors will include actor Philip Salvador and actress Lorna Tolentino (candle); Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao and wife Jinkee (veil); and Senate President Pro Tempore Jinggoy Estrada and wife Precy (cord). Revilla said he has also invited President Benigno Aquino III although he doesn't know whether he will attend the wedding. The best men will be the couple's sons Bryan and Jolo Revilla while the matron of honor will be their daughter, Inah Del Rosario. Bong was recently ranked as the fourth richest among 23 senators while Lani was ranked as 21st richest lawmaker among the 284-member House of Representatives. — RSJ/KBK, GMA News
