Seaoil to cut P3 off fuel pump prices in three days


Seaoil Philippines on Tuesday said it will gradually reduce the pump prices of its premium and unleaded gasoline from May 24 to 26 until the total price reduction totals P3 per liter. The oil firm will also lower its diesel prices by a total of P1.50 per liter over the same three-day span. For regular gasoline and kerosene, the price cuts will be P1.75 per liter and P0.75 per liter, respectively. The company meanwhile said that some of its 180 service stations nationwide are joining government’s Public Transport Assistance Program and will honor the Department of Energy (DOE) Pantawid Pasada smartcards issued to commuter jeep operators and drivers. The DOE said it has distributed 40,000 smartcards to jeepney franchise holders in Metro Manila and Dagupan City in Pangasinan. To hasten the release of the smartcards, the department has opened other service desks aside from those at the grandstand in Camp Crame, Quezon City. From May 23 to 31, jeepney operators and drivers may claim their smartcards from these locations along or near their franchise routes:

  • Alabang- Alabang Central Terminal
  • 55 Yale St. Cubao, Quezon City
  • Manila City Hall Satellite Office, Divisoria
  • Monumento-Shell Station on Second Avenue, Avenida Extension.
From May 23 to 26, temporary DOE service desks will be at the Caltex Station Along Edsa and Pioneer Street. From May 27, 30, and 31 the fuel subsidy cards will be issued in the following locations:
  • Baclaran- Sucat Terminal
  • Agora Complex, Bgy. Sto. Nino, Marikina City
  • Blumentritt- Aurora Near Chinese General Hospital
  • Guadalupe- Barangay Hall in Barangay Nuevo, Orense Street and
  • Fairview- Novaliches Mini-City Hall, Jordan Plains, Barangay Sta. Monica.
