Cebu Pacific cancels Manila-Naga flights


Philippine carrier Cebu Pacific on Wednesday canceled flights between Manila and Naga City in Camarines Sur as typhoon "Chedeng" (Songda) continued to threaten Bicol. Cebu Pacific posted an advisory on its Facebook page Wednesday afternoon saying it canceled Flight 5J-523 and 524 (Manila to Naga, Naga to Manila). "Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights," it said the advisory on in its Facebook page. It advised passengers to stay tuned for more developments, and sought their understanding for the cancellation. "We always place top priority in your safety; thank you for your understanding," it said. Bicol was among the areas threatened by "Chedeng," which the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said had intensified Wednesday morning. Heavy rains caused by the enhanced monsoon also fell on parts of Metro Manila. — KBK, GMA News
