Report: Pinoy killed in broad daylight in KSA


A Filipino computer technician was stabbed dead in broad daylight in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia Monday, a Saudi-based news site reported Tuesday. The Filipino, who was not immediately named, died from a stab wound in the neck caused by an unidentified assailant, news site Arab News reported. Police are tracking down the assailant, who also wounded a Sudanese man’s hand and shoulder, the report added. The killing incident occurred in a shop on Sharbatly Street in Jeddah’s Safa district, according to the report. An initial investigation showed the assailant was running with a knife and charged forward despite efforts by many people to stop him. The Filipino later fell to the ground and started bleeding profusely and died shortly afterward. The assailant also attacked those who tried to stop him. Police patrols and ambulances rushed to the spot but the suspect escaped. — JE, GMA News
