Metro Manila cops to hold 'dry run' of new school security measures

Police in Metro Manila will hold this weekend a dry run of their security measures for the opening of classes this coming Monday. Metro Manila police director Chief Superintendent Allan Purisima said Friday the five police districts under him are still fine-tuning their preparations. "Bukas mag-inspection tayo kung paano nila ginagawa. Magkakaroon sila ng rehearsal paano gagawin ang pagbukas ng iskwela sa pamamagitan ng pag-deploy ng mga tao," he said in an interview on dzBB radio. Purisima said he will meet with officials of the five police districts under him to determine the extent of their preparations. So far, he said he is satisfied with the security plans for the opening of classes, but did not elaborate. "Ang different police districts mine-meeting natin, inaalam natin ang kanilang paghahanda. So far maganda ang kanilang pinapakitang kahandaan," he said. Assistance desks Purisima said they will place parents and students' assistance desks at universities. "Kung may reklamo o kailangan at itawag pansin sa pulis, doon natin idudulog," he said. - VVP, GMA News
