Cebu Pacific cancels 20 flights due to bad weather


(Updated 11:05 a.m.) Air carrier Cebu Pacific on Wednesday canceled at least 20 flights in areas affected by bad weather conditions. In an advisory on its Facebook page, Cebu Pacific said the canceled flights include:
  • 5J 521 and 522- Manila-Naga-Manila
  • 5J 821 and 822- Manila-Virac-Manila
  • 5J 132 and 133- Cebu-Caticlan-Cebu
  • 5J 891 and 892- Manila-Caticlan-Manila
  • 5J 893 and 894- Manila-Caticlan-Manila
  • 5J 895 and 898- Manila-Caticlan-Manila
  • 5J 897 and 896- Manila-Caticlan-Manila
  • 5J 909 and 908- Manila-Caticlan-Manila
  • 5J 913 and 914- Manila-Caticlan-Manila
  • 5J 919 and 920- Manila-Caticlan-Manila
Affected passengers will be accommodated on next available flights, it said. "We always place top priority in your safety; thank you for your understanding," Cebu Pacific said. Earlier in the day, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the thunderstorms and scattered rain showers were triggered by a low-pressure area spotted off Calapan, Oriental Mindoro. — RSJ/LBG, GMA News
