3 shot dead, 3 wounded in Cebu 'massacre'

At least three people were killed while three others were wounded in a shooting incident in their house in Lapu-Lapu City in Cebu province early Thursday. Police suspect a grudge and not robbery was the motive behind the incident, which took place shortly after 6 a.m. Thursday, radio dzBB’s Cebu affiliate reported. The fatalities were initially identified as Fernando Camillo, 58; Fernando Camillo II, 3 years old; and one Emma Larillo. Wounded and rushed to a hospital were two students and a man. The three were not immediately identified in the report. An initial investigation showed two armed men entered the victim's house before the shooting incident. Police recovered empty shells of a cal-.45 pistol from the scene. But the report said police investigators suspect the victims knew their killers. Police also said a grudge may have been behind the killing, as the victims’ belongings appeared intact. — LBG, GMA News
