Saudi telecom gives Pinoys 50% discount for June 12

Filipinos in Saudi Arabia are getting a treat on Independence Day as a telecom firm there is slashing rates on international calls to the Philippines by 50 percent. News site Arab News reported Saturday Saudi Telecom Co. (STC) said this is on the occasion of the National Day of the Philippines on Sunday. "This initiative comes in line with the company’s keenness to share the joys of the Philippines and help its customers to connect with their loved ones with the least prices," the Arab News report said. It said the discount includes calls, SMS, MMS and video calls from Aljawal, SAWA and LANA, and will last for 24 hours during the day. The discount is also part of the firm's social responsibility toward its customers, the Arab News report added. — LBG, GMA News
