Fire hits school in Intramuros, Manila

A fire of undetermined origin razed the faculty room of a public high school in Manila's Intramuros district Saturday morning. No one was initially reported injured in the fire at the Manila High School (MHS), according to a report by radio dzBB's Mao dela Cruz. The fire started at 8:10 a.m. at Room 324 of MHS, but was put out by firefighters in 10 minutes. Damaged in the fire were office supplies and equipment, the report said. The report also said the fire is not likely to disrupt the school year as no other classroom was damaged, and there were no classes during the incident. — LBG, GMA News
