Cebu Pacific cancels 2 flights due to 'Egay'

Air carrier Cebu Pacific on Saturday canceled two flights due to bad weather conditions brought by tropical depression "Egay." In an announcement on its Facebook page, Cebu Pacific said the canceled flights were:

  • 5J-711, Manila to Catarman (Samar)
  • 5J-712, Catarman to Manila
"Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights. You may also rebook within 30 days of cancellation or Travel Funds without penalties," it said. Samar is one of the areas threatened by rains from "Egay," which is expected to move north-northwest during the weekend. Cebu Pacific asked for understanding, saying it places top priority in the public's safety. "We always place top priority in your safety; thank you for your understanding as it is beyond the airline's control," it said. — LBG, GMA News
