Pakistani hacker claims access to HP corp servers

A Pakistani hacker claimed over the weekend to have hacked into Hewlett-Packard (HP)’s corporate file transfer protocol (FTP) servers, posting some of his supposed handiwork online. The Pakistani, identified only as HexCoder, said he will not “share" the hacked database but only because it was too big to upload. “I have done this by getting access to FTP successfully. All this by just mere stupidity! Oh and I will not share their database because its too big (9 GB)," he said, according to a report on The Hacker News. Still, he posted screenshots of the supposed access into HP’s FTP servers. The Hacker News report did not say if HexCoder is allied with hacking groups that recently attacked several high-profile sites. In recent weeks, “hacktivist" groups such as Anonymous and another group, LulzSec, had claimed responsibility for attacks on several websites of governments and private firms. — TJD, GMA News
