Phivolcs: Quake hits Southern Leyte


A magnitude-3.2 quake rocked Southern Leyte in Eastern Visayas Sunday night, but there was no initial report of damage or casualty. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said the quake was recorded at 9:39 p.m., and was tectonic in origin. It said the epicenter was 51 km northeast of Maasin, Southern Leyte. Phivolcs said the quake was felt at Intensity II in St. Bernard, Southern Leyte. However, it said no damage or aftershock was expected from Sunday night's quake. — RSJ, GMA News
