Cebu Pac cancels 2 flights between Manila, Caticlan due to bad weather

Air carrier Cebu Pacific on Monday canceled at least two flights between Manila and Caticlan due to bad weather. In an announcement on its Facebook page, Cebu Pacific said the two flights are:

  • 5J-893: Manila to Caticlan
  • 5J-894: Caticlan to Manila Caticlan is considered a gateway to the world-famous Boracay Island resort. "Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights. You may also rebook within 30 days of cancellation or Travel Funds without penalties," Cebu Pacific said. It reiterated its appeal for understanding, saying it always places "top priority" in safety. Earlier, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said that while Tropical Depression Egay is moving away from the Philippines, it may still enhance the southwest monsoon. PAGASA said the enhanced monsoon will bring rains over the western parts of Luzon and the Visayas. — RSJ, GMA News
