LulzSec hits another UK target, takes census records

Less than 24 hours after attacking the United Kingdom's Serious Organised Crimes Agency, the LulzSec hacker group claimed Tuesday night (Manila time) to have taken millions of records from the UK's 2011 Census. In a message posted on Pastebin.com, the LulzSec group said that it pulled off the feat because the UK government was "security-illiterate." "We have blissfully obtained records of every single citizen who gave their records to the security-illiterate UK government for the 2011 census. We're keeping them under lock and key though... so don't worry about your privacy (...until we finish re-formatting them for release)," it said. Signing the message was "Cap'n Pierre 'Lulz' Dubois," who hinted he and his "Lulz shipmates" will post the records on ThePirateBay site. The message also contained links to the group's other "conquests," including the data of game author Bethesda Softworks and data from the US Senate website. Earlier, LulzSec and hacktivist group Anonymous claimed to have joined forces against government and security websites. Anonymous even claimed LulzSec had acquired a sense of purpose in its hacking. — TJD, GMA News
