Pinoy, Pakistani get jail terms in UAE for oral sex

A Filipino and a Pakistani were each sentenced to one year in jail in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after the police caught them having oral sex inside a bus, the Gulf News site reported on Friday. The two men begged for forgiveness when they appeared before Dubai Misdemeanor Court Presiding Judge Mohammad Ahmad Shoaib on Thursday, Gulf News said. Both men were also ordered deported after serving their one-year jail term, the report added. The court judgment remains subject to appeal within 15 days, Gulf News said. Court records showed that a police patrol caught the Pakistani, 24, and the Filipino, 33, shortly after having oral sex. The Filipino was reportedly naked while the Pakistani had his trousers unzipped. The two later confessed to what they did, Gulf News said. The Filipino submitted to court a letter where he wrote: "I am very ashamed about my fault and very much apologise for what I have done especially to God. I am heartily admitting that I am indeed responsible for the act that I have done, consensually having sex with a man. "Being inside jail with the help of Dubai Government, I sincerely realized my mistake and even all the simple wrongdoings including from the past." - VVP, GMA News
