PAGASA: Floods, landslides loom over parts of Luzon

Although tropical storm “Falcon" has exited the country, parts of northern and central Luzon may still be prone to flash floods and landslides from monsoon rains. The Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said the monsoon will bring rains over northern and central Luzon and Metro Manila. “Residents along the provinces of Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Zambales, Tarlac, Pangasinan, La Union, Benguet, Mt. Province, Ilocos Sur, Abra, and Ilocos Norte are advised to take all the necessary precautionary measures against possible flashfloods and landslides," PAGASA said in an advisory. It also advised fishermen along the coastal areas of Luzon not to venture out to sea as big waves generated by monsoon may surge. — JE, GMA News
