DFA bares schedule for passport applicants affected by 'Falcon'
The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) released over the weekend a schedule for passport applicants affected by the rains caused by tropical storm “Falcon." In an announcement posted on its website early Saturday, the DFA-Office of Consular Affairs noted many passport applicants could not file their applications due to the rains caused by “Falcon." “Passport applicants scheduled on June 23 (Thursday), June 24 (Friday), and June 25 (Saturday) who were or are unable to file their applications may come any day next week between June 27 (Monday) to July 2 (Saturday)," it said. Starting 1 p.m. last Friday, the DFA suspended its passport and other consular operations due to the inclement weather. The DFA however said passport processing at the DFA-OCA building at the Aseana Business Park in Parañaque City was to proceed as scheduled Saturday. Earlier Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said “Falcon" had left Philippine territory before dawn. — JE, GMA News
