If Azkals beat Sri Lanka, team to play night game against Kuwait

If the Philippines gets past Sri Lanka in the first round of the 2014 World Cup Asian qualifying match, the Azkals' home match against Kuwait will be a night game at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex (RMSC). "If we qualify, we will hold it in Rizal at night at 7 p.m. We have already advised it to FIFA, the Asian Football Confederation and the Kuwait football federation," said Philippine Football Federation (PFF) president Mariano "Nonong" Araneta. The home game, if ever, will be held on July 28, or 25 days after the Azkals host Sri Lanka in the second leg of their first round tie. "We have to be ready for any eventuality because we don't have the luxury of time," said Araneta. Araneta said the RMSC is already capable of holding a night match since they have already installed lights for the first round home game against Sri Lanka. "We are prepared to open the lights on July 3." The PFF added the heavy rains brought about by tropical storm "Falcon" during the week did not affect the field conditions of the RMSC. - Reuben Terrado/JVP, GMA News
