Bukidnon lawyer, 3 others nabbed by PDEA agents

A Bukidnon lawyer was arrested by members of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency operatives last week for selling 0.2 grams of methamphetamine hydrochloride (shabu) to an agent posing as buyer, the PDEA said Sunday. The PDEA identified the lawyer as Winston Intong (alias "Bossing") 43, a resident of Malaybalay City in Bukidnon. PDEA Director General Undersecretary Jose S. Gutierrez, Jr. said Intong has been under the agency’s watch for a while already and has been elevated to their target-list in the region. Intong was also yielded another 0.5 gram of shabu, 0.1 gram of cocaine and eight ecstasy tablets. Arrested with Intong were Lingling Garcia, 44; a dentist and businesswoman; Michael Sausi, 26, a student; and Dante Rey Evangelista, 42, a farmer and businessman. Garcia and Sausi were caught sniffing shabu in Intong’s office while Evangelista admitted keeping 0.2 grams of shabu in his vehicle with plate number SUV-MU4. Intong faces charges for the selling and possessing dangerous drugs in violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002. Cases will also be filed against Garcia, Sausi and Evangelista for violating the anti-drug law. The four suspects are under the custody of PDEA Regional Office 10 under the supervision of Director Roberto S. Opeña. — Bea Cupin/LBG, GMA News
