Palace appoints new PHL envoys to Cuba, South Africa


Malacañang on Saturday announced the appointment of new envoys to Cuba and South Africa. Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte announced the appointment of Wilfredo Maximo and Constancio Vingno Jr. as ambassadors to Cuba and South Africa, respectively. Maximo will have jurisdiction over the Dominican Republic, Haiti, and Jamaica, while Vingno will have authority over Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Malacañang also appointed:

  • Robert Nomar Leyretana as acting deputy administrator of the Land Registration Authority,
  • Emmanuel Ledesma Jr. as member of the board of directors representing Luzon for National Transmission Corp. (Transco),
  • Eleazar Ricote as director for Capacity Building and Knowledge Management Service under Public-Private Partnership Center of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA),
  • Alfredo Vitangcol III as director for Policy Formulation and Evaluation Service of PPP Center of the NEDA,
  • Lelina Quilates as director for Administrative Service of PPP Center of the NEDA, and
  • Rina Alzate as Director III for Project Development Services of PPP Center of the NEDA.
