The Land Transportation Office main office later traced the plate number back to the Cavite Governor’s Office’s Civil Security Unit. The driver, who was identified by the Cavite provincial government as Jasper Salvari, 35, is still at-large. According to Cavite Provincial Public Information Officer Jo-Ann Nazareno-Loyola, the driver is hiding because he fears for his life. According to the report, the van was speeding from the opposite direction as Clemeno was taking. The impact was so strong it ruined the victim’s motorcycle. “Hindi ko na nga po makilala ang kapatid ko pagpasok ko sa morgue. Kasi grabe ang tama sa katawan, basag ang bungo," said Anna Clemeno, one of Michael Clemeno’s seven siblings. Another sister, Rosemarie Clemeno, said her brother was dragged and ran over again by the van before it sped off. The Cavite provincial government has started investigating the issue and promised to give the Clemeno family financial assistance. — BC/VS, GMA News
