3 killed as truck crashes into coffee mill in Cavite

At least three people were killed after a truck crashed into a coffee mill in Silang town in Cavite at midnight Wednesday. Silang town police head Superintendent Simnar Gran said the trailer truck may have been speeding when it crashed into the mill in Biga village. "Isang trailer truck na naglalaman ng bakal ang, di natin malaman kung nawalan ng preno, ang bumangga sa pagawaan ng kape mga 12 ng gabi. At na-identify ang driver na isa sa mga napatay pati ang helper po," he said in an interview on dzBB radio. He said the caretaker of the mill, initially identified as Franklin, was pinned to death. Initial investigation showed the incident occurred at Aguinaldo Highway at midnight, when the truck crashed into the mill hit two Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) posts.
