Steve Jobs' biography 'too cutesy'

A title change looms for the biography of charismatic Apple Inc. CEO Steve Jobs, after the author's wife and daughter found the original one "too cutesy." Tech site CNET noted that the title change came barely three months after it was announced that Jobs' biography is in the works and may be published in 2012. Originally titled "iSteve: The Book of Jobs," the first authorized biography will be rechristened simply "Steve Jobs," penned by biographer Walter Isaacson. Isaacson is basing the work on interviews with Jobs, family members, and colleagues, CNET said. The biography's publisher, Simon & Schuster, is a unit of CBS Corp., whose CBS Interactive unit is the publisher of CNET. But a Fortune report said Isaacson was not too sure about the original title, chosen by Simon & Schuster's publicity department. Isaacson's author's wife and daughter agreed - they claimed title was "too cutesy." Barring any further delays, the book is scheduled to be published March 6, 2012. Fortune noted the biography, despite not being completed yet, briefly made it to the Top 50 on Amazon's bestseller list. — TJD, GMA News
