Tunnel diggers steal from Palawan pawnshop

Unidentified thieves stole an undetermined amount of jewelry from a pawnshop in Puerto Princesa City in Palawan after digging a tunnel under the shop last weekend. The police are trying to track down the suspects after the theft was discovered at 8:00 a.m. Monday, according to a report of James Viernes of radio dzBB's Palawan affiliate. The report said employees of Palawan Pawnshop discovered the theft when they reported for work early on Monday. The police said the perpetrators likely planned the theft meticulously, as shown by the tunnel dug under the pawnshop.
