Pro-life Philippines' forum to tackle repercussions of divorce July 16

Pro-life Philippines will hold on July 16 a seminar to tackle the repercussions of creating a culture of divorce in the country. The theme of the forum is “Let No Man Put Asunder: Uncovering the Culture of Divorce." The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines said the seminar will be held at the St. Joseph Retreat House in Sampaloc, Manila. CBCP legal counsel and pro-life lawyer Aurea Imbong will speak at the seminar, the CBCP said. "Imbong will speak on the history of divorce, its conflict with human and divine laws, and its possible consequences to the status of the Filipino family," the CBCP said. Earlier, some lawmakers renewed calls for the passage of a law allowing divorce in the Philippines. - VVP, GMA News
