Sheriffs file assault charge vs Duterte-Carpio
The Sheriffs Confederation of the Philippines (SCOPHIL) on Monday filed a complaint of direct assault before the Ombudsman against Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio for beating up their colleague, court sheriff Abe Andres. âWe will not sit idly by and watch arrogant powers-that-be make a mockery of the courtsâ writs and processes," SCOPHIL said in a statement aired on GMA Newsâ â24 Oras" newscast.
