Suspected victim of summary execution found in Cavite

Police are now investigating a suspected summary execution of a man whose body was dumped in a village in Bacoor town in Cavite province early Tuesday. The body bore a makeshift sign indicating the victim had been linked to robbery cases, according to a report by radio dzBB's Denver Trinidad. "Magnanakaw ako, holdaper... huwag ninyo ako tularan. Utol kayo na ang susunod (I am a robber, a holdupper. Do not emulate me. Brother, you are next)," the sign said, according to the dzBB report.

An initial investigation showed the body was found at a grassy part of Molino Boulevard in Niog III village in Bacoor town. Packaging tape covered parts of the victim's head. The victim's hands and feet were also tied with packaging tape, the report said. The man was described as in his 30s, and wearing a white shirt and yellow short pants. — RSJ, GMA News
