No evidence against him in abduction of UP students, Palparan says

Retired Army Major General Jovito Palparan on Tuesday submitted to a Department of Justice (DOJ) panel his counter-affidavit to allegations that he had a hand in the 2006 abduction of UP students Sherlyn Cadapan and Karen Empeno. Speaking to reporters before the DOJ hearing, Palparan said his counter-affidavit dwelled on the lack of evidence to link him to the abduction. “They don’t have evidence against us. That’s where we’ll focus on—the lack of evidence," Palparan said. The hearing is on-going as of post time. - VVP, GMA News
