Rebecca Black is back —with a new video!

Four months since her first music video "Friday" shot to Internet fame, Rebecca Black is back with a new video in which she proudly declares, "This is My Moment". The 14-year-old singer gained fame —or, some would say, notoriety— in March this year with her debut single, "Friday". Despite being derided for its simplistic lyrics ("Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday/Today it is Friday/We, we, we so excited"), the song quickly garnered over 160 million views on YouTube and even earned for Black a guest appearance in a Katy Perry music video. But now, Rebecca Black seems to be taking on the spotlight on her own terms this time, with her new single, "My Moment", which was released on July 18. She also recently launched her own website and Youtube channel. "Weren’t you the one who said/That I would be nothing?/Well, I’m about to prove you wrong," says Rebecca from the get-go, telling everyone to sit up and take her seriously this time. As of 5pm (Philippine Time), just a few hours after the video's release, it has garnered just over 51,500 views.
