Google+ app released for iPhone

As it continues to prepare its upcoming social network, Google has released an app for Google+ for Apple’s iPhone. Google said its “Google+ for Mobile" app allows iPhone users to take part in “Huddle" messaging and receive “Stream" updates from their circles. “Google+ for mobile makes sharing the right things with the right people a lot simpler. Huddle lets you send super-fast messages to the people you care about most. And no matter where you are, the stream lets you stay in the loop about what your friends are sharing and where they’re checking in," it said. It also said its app provides better support for blocking unwanted messages in Huddle and for attaching photos to a post. But tech site Mashable said the app, available as a free download from the App Store, may be buggy in some areas. "First impressions of the app are that while useful, it’s buggy. The app doesn’t work on iOS 5 beta 3 — so cutting-edge adopters, you’re out of luck (for now) — and is crashing in iOS 4 at regular occurrences for some users," it said. It said Punit Soni, lead product manager for Google+ Mobile, is promising updates. — RSJ, GMA News
