Zaldy arrives at Philippine Heart Center for checkup

One of the prime suspects in the Maguindanao massacre, suspended Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) Gov. Zaldy Ampatuan, arrived at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City shortly after 12 noon Wednesday. A report on "Balitanghali" said Zaldy's convoy arrived at the PHC from a police detention center in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City. Zaldy was brought straight to the PHC's emergency room where he was supposed to have his checkup after Quezon City Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes of the Regional Trial Court Branch 221 approved his request to be brought there PHC after a private hospital refused him for security reasons. It was not clear if the murder suspect would be brought back to detention after his checkup, the report said. — LBG/KBK, GMA News
