PHL Embassy resumes outreach missions in US
The Philippine Consulate General in New York resumed its outreach consular services, holding its latest mission in Maine. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said the outreach activity in Portland, Maine on June 16 was the Consulate's first outreach program for summer. In a news release, the DFA said the July 16 outreach was conducted at the Day Inn Hotel, with the help of the Filipino-American community in Portland led by Teresita Cardona. The nine-member consular team led by Consul Elena Maningat handled 60 transactions. Other members of the team included Administrative Officer Merle Puruganan, Finance Officer Celesty Cornejo, Victoria Saldivar, Chester Tajonera, Ric Miranda, Josel Mecua, Rissa Ressurreccion and Magnolia Barbin.
