Suspected Korean thief nabbed while on his way out of PHL

A Korean national facing theft charges was arrested at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport-Terminal 1 just before he was about to fly out to South Korea on Saturday morning. Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., Philippine National Police spokesperson, identified the accused man as 55-year-old Hyanggouk Lee. Lee was already at the NAIA-1’s Gate 3 when he was arrested by PO3 Marion Edianel of the Parañaque City police, according to Cruz. Lee is facing theft charges before a Pasay City court. Cruz said the suspect was supposed to depart via a Seoul, South Korea-bound Asiana Airlines’ OZ-704 flight. Lee was taken into police custody after being positively identified by his accuser, Jooyong Lee.— Mark D. Merueñas/JE, GMA News
