Phivolcs: Magnitude-4.1 quake hits Mindoro area

A magnitude-4.1 quake rocked the Mindoro area in Southern Luzon Saturday night but there was no initial report of damage or casualty. The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said the quake was recorded at 8:18 p.m. and was tectonic in origin. In its bulletin, Phivolcs said the quake's epicenter was 30 km northeast of Mansalay in Oriental Mindoro. But it did not immediately indicate specific areas where the quake was felt.
