Classes suspended in 23 colleges in QC for SONA day


Classes in at least 23 colleges in Quezon City will be suspended on Monday in time for President Benigno Aquino III's second State of the Nation Address (SONA). A report on radio dzBB said the colleges include:

  • ACCESS Computer College Lagro
  • AMA Computer College Fairview
  • Asia School of Arts and Sciences
  • Asian Institute of Computer Studies
  • Ateneo de Manila University
  • Best Link Institute of Information Techology
  • Colegio de Sta. Teresita de Avila
  • Datamex College
  • Diliman Computer Technical Institute
  • FEU FERN College and Dr Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation
  • Institute of Community and Family Health
  • Mary the Queen College
  • Metro Manila College
  • Miriam College
  • National College of Business and Arts
  • New Era University
  • Our Lady of Fatima University
  • St. Anthony (School)
  • St. Bernadette (School)
  • St. Dominic Institute
  • STI Fairview
  • University of the Philippines Diliman
Earlier, the Commission on Higher Education said it is leaving to heads of colleges and universities the decision of whether to suspend classes for Monday. The Department of Education earlier said classes up to high school in Quezon City will be suspended for Monday.— LBG, GMA News
