2 suspected robbers killed in Laguna shootout

At least two suspected motorcycle-riding robbers were killed in an encounter with police in Los Baños City in Laguna before dawn Sunday. The two were aboard a motorcycle and tried to speed away after encountering a patrol team, radio dzBB's Glen Juego reported. Citing a report reaching Philippine National Police spokesman Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., the dzBB report said the incident occurred at Putho Tuntungin village. Recovered from the two were the motorcycle, a hand grenade and a cal-.38 revolver. The two were not immediately identified, the report said. — LBG, GMA News
