1 missing in predawn Caloocan fire

At least one person was reported missing in a predawn fire that hit a store in Caloocan City Wednesday. Local residents were still searching for the person, who was allegedly sleeping inside the store when the fire broke out, radio dzBB's Roland Bola reported. The report said the fire at the general merchandise store at Phase 3 Kanlaon in Bagong Silang in Caloocan started before 6 a.m. and reached the third alarm. Firefighters managed to place the fire under control at about 7 a.m. A tweet from volunteer firefighter group TXTFire said the fire was put out shortly after 7:30 a.m. No one was initially reported injured, even as arson investigators are still looking into the cause of the fire. — LBG, GMA News
