Lone winner hits P106.8-M Superlotto jackpot


While the nation focused on the rains brought by Tropical Storm Juaning (Nock-Ten), a lone winner became P106.844 million richer after hitting the lotto jackpot Tuesday night. The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office said the winner got the winning combination of 39-42-38-07-10-12 to win the Superlotto 6/49 jackpot of P106,844,122.80. It was the biggest major prize won since June 29, when a lone winner struck the P65.188 million jackpot in the PCSOs Grand Lotto draw that day. Last June 29, the winner got the winning combination of 03-18-30-40-06-29 to win the P65,188,047.60 pot. The biggest lotto prize in recent history was won last November when a lone lucky bettor from Luzon managed to crack the biggest jackpot in the country’s lottery history, winning some P741.176 million. At the time, the winning bet for the 6/55 Grand Lotto was placed in Olongapo City in Zambales province in Central Luzon. The November 2010 winner went home with P741,176,323.20 richer, for getting the winning combination: 11-16-42-47-31-37. — RSJ, GMA News
