CebuPac cancels 4 flights due to Storm Juaning

Air carrier Cebu Pacific canceled at least four flights Wednesday due to inclement weather conditions brought by Tropical Storm Juaning (Nock-Ten). In advisories on its Facebook page, Cebu Pacific said the canceled flights include:

  • 5J-196 and 5J-197: Manila to Cauayan and back
  • 5J-821 and 5J-822: Manila to Virac and Back
"Affected passengers will be accommodated on the next available flights. We always place top priority in your safety; thank you for your understanding. Please stay tuned for more developments!" it said. For its part, flag carrier Philippine Airlines advised its passengers of possible "slight delays" due to weather conditions. "All flights of Philippine Airlines (PAL) for today (July 27, 2011) are expected to be operated according to published schedules, with some flights encountering slight delays, as PAL's fleet of large and modern aircraft capable of withstanding typhoon Juaning's low-intensity winds during take-off and landing at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA)," it said in a news release. But PAL said it continues to closely monitor the movement of Juaning, which was expected to affect large parts of Central and Northern Luzon Wednesday. It said it will issue flight advisories in case of any deviation in the forecast path of Juaning that may affect PAL's departures and arrivals. PAL said passengers may check on the status of PAL flights by calling the PAL hotline at 855-8888 or visiting the PAL website.
