Water service may be interrupted in selected areas in Makati, Parañaque, and Valenzuela cities and in Obando, Bulacan next week because of the pipe upgrading work of Maynilad Water Services Inc. Maynilad said the service improvement work will be done in the following areas: in
Parañaque and Makati City: From 9:00 p.m. on Aug. 1 to 9:00 a.m. on Aug. 2. Valenzuela City: From 9:00 p.m. on Aug. 3 to noon on Aug. 4. According to Maynilad, it will "decommission" an old 900-millimeter (mm) steel pipe along South Luzon Expressway in Parañaque City and install new valves and a strainer and declog a 750-mm pipe along Rincon, near Pelo 1 Subdivision in Valenzuela City. In an advisory, Maynilad said the following specific areas will be affected: Parañaque-Makati (9:00 p.m. August 1 to 9:00 a.m. August 2) PARAÑAQUE West Service Road (from Maynilad’s Villamor pumping station to Marcelo Green Village) Brgys. Malinta, Pasolo, Rincon, Mabolo, Poblacion, Palasan, Isla, Tagalag, Arkong Bato, Pariancillo Villa, Balangkas, Wawang Pulo, Polo, Dalandanan and Bisig in Valenzuela City Bulacan Obando Water District Maynilad advised customers in these areas to store enough water for the duration of the service improvement project.
