NDRRMC: 908 evacuated from Bulacan due to 'Kabayan'
At least 192 families or 908 people were evacuated from their homes after floods brought by tropical storm âKabayan" (international code name: Muifa) hit several areas in Bulacan province. In its 1 p.m. report, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said the floods affected seven villages in three towns and one city. These were:
- San Jose del Monte City (38 families or 144 people),
- Sta. Maria town (45 families or 224 people),
- Bocaue town (105 families or 520 people), and
- Paombong town (four families or 20 people).
- Meycauayan City (up to 3 feet in Bayugo village),
- Marilao (up to 2 feet in Tabing-Ilog, Abangan Sur, Poblacion I and II, and Nagbalon villages),
- Bocaue (up to 2 feet in Poblacion), and
- Sta. Maria (up to 3 feet in Tumana village).
