Maynilad: Pipe work may interrupt services in Manila Aug. 2-3

Some parts of Manila may be without water between Tuesday night and Wednesday due to pipe upgrading work by water concessionaire Maynilad Water. In an advisory, Maynilad said it will decommission an old 400-millimeter pipe at the corner of Taft Avenue and Estrada Street in Manila as part of the upgrade. "The service improvement project will take place on August 2, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. of August 3, and interrupt water services in areas bounded by Mabini, Quirino Avenue, Adriatico, Leveriza, F. Reyes, Noli, Taft and along P. Ocampo St. in Manila," Maynilad said. Maynilad advised customers in these areas to store enough water during the service improvement project. It said the upgrade work will benefit Maynilad customers by improving water pressure in parts of Manila.
