MMDA: Several roads in NCR flooded due to heavy rain


The heavy downpour spawned by the southwest monsoon flooded several roads in Metro Manila Tuesday, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said. Citing data and updates reaching its headquarters, the MMDA said the floodwaters were waist-deep in some areas and gutter-deep in others. As of noon Tuesday, the MMDA's Twitter feeds said the flooded roads included: Waist-deep:

  • Brgy. Salapan, San Juan City
  • Balong Bato, San Juan City Knee/Above-knee:
  • Maysilo to Francisco St., Mandaluyong
  • Betty Go Belmonte cor. E. Rodriguez, Quezon City
  • E. Rodriguez Araneta (not passable to light vehicles)
    Tire-deep:
  • Marcos Highway near Barrio Fiesta
  • España/Blumentritt to Lacson, Manila (not passable to light vehicles)
  • Rizal Ave. cor. R. Papa, Manila
  • Antipolo/Blumentritt (half-tire), Manila
  • Quezon Blvd., Quiapo, Manila
  • Scout Tobias Timog (not passable to light vehicles) Gutter-deep:
  • EDSA Santolan Service Road
  • EDSA P. Tuazon north and southbound (above gutter)
