AntiSec hackers strike back at US gov't

Remaining defiant after their “spokesman" was arrested, hackers attacked yet another US government contractor, leaking its sensitive data online. The Hacker News reported early Tuesday (Manila time) that Operation AntiSec published 110 users’ emails and passwords of PCS Consultants (USA) onto Pastebin. “We are not scared any more. Your threats to arrest us are meaningless to us [because] you cannot arrest an idea. Any attempt to do so will make your citizens more angry until they will roar in one gigantic choir. It is our mission to help these people and there is nothing - absolutely nothing - you can possibly do to make us stop," the report quoted hacktivist group Anonymous as saying. Also, the group said these governments and corporations “are our enemy (and) we will continue to fight them, with all methods we have at our disposal, and that certainly includes breaking into their websites and exposing their lies." United Kingdom police had earlier arrested "Topiary", believed to be a spokesman for hacker group Lulz Security, which had joined forces with Anonymous to hack government and corporate sites. Meanwhile, The Hacker News reported that “Topiary" a.k.a. Jake Davis, 18, was released on bail after being charged with five offenses relating to computer attacks and break-ins by LulzSec and Anonymous. It said Davis was allowed to stay with his mother at their new home in Spalding, Lincolnshire, on condition that he does not access the internet either directly or through anyone else. He also has to wear a tag to ensure a curfew from 10pm to 7am. Anonymous had issued a press release calling for Topiary's freedom and hinting at getting back at those who led to his arrest. It called on its compatriots in the UK “to revolt and wash this shame brought upon them by a band of traitors and bandits who sold out to Anonymous’ enemies and disparaged the sentiment of this noble, lulzy people." The group also called on Anons “to revolt altogether to cleanse the world of the ProSec filth who spread mischief in the land." — TJD, GMA News
