4 suspected robbers killed in Rizal, Cavite encounters

At least four suspected robbers were killed in two separate encounters with lawmen in Rizal before dawn Friday and in Cavite Thursday night. In Rizal, two suspected members of the so-called Ozamiz Group were shot dead in an encounter with police in Cainta before dawn Friday, radio dzBB's Manny Vargas reported. The two, who were aboard a black motorcycle without license plates, were flagged down at Antipolo City but tried to outrun the police there. A resulting chase ended in a reported shootout at the ROTC Hunters Road in Youngstown Subdivision in San Juan village in Cainta. The report said the two suspects, who were not immediately named, were killed instantly. Recovered from them were a cal-.38 revolver and a cal-.45 pistol, along with the black motorcycle. Meanwhile, in Cavite, two suspected robbers were shot dead shortly after robbing an Internet cafe in Langkaan village in Dasmariñas town in Cavite Thursday night.
