PHL to hold 'Embassy on Wheels' in Dammam on Aug 11-12


The Philippine Embassy in Saudi Arabia will hold another mobile outreach mission in Dammam on August 11 and 12. In an announcement on its website, the embassy said the “Embassy on Wheels" is in cooperation with AFCSCCOM, the Filipino community organization in the eastern region. The venue of the mobile consular services will be at the Al Jazeera International Philippine School in Dammam, it added. While the embassy said there is no need for passport applicants to submit photos, they must bring their old passport and a photocopy of the first page of their passports. During the outreach, the mobile consular services will also be releasing new passports for applicants from the eastern province, according to the embassy. Applicants are required to present the original receipt together with the original copy of their old passport. Authorized representatives claiming the passports must present a letter of authority signed by the principal. Notarial services will also be rendered during the consular services. Passport fees A passport fee of 240 Saudi riyals (P2,722) will be charged, the embassy said. Those who could not be accommodated and their passport had already expired or about to expire within six months may request for passport extension. The extension fee is 80 Saudi riyals (P907). Meanwhile, those not included in the attached appointment list will be automatically scheduled for the next mobile consular services in September 2011. — JE, GMA News
