1 hurt as bus rams commercial establishment in QC


At least one person was rushed to a hospital after a passenger bus went out of control and rammed a commercial establishment in Quezon City on Sunday. The incident at the corner of Mindanao Avenue and Quirino Highway also snarled traffic in the area, radio dzBB's Allan Gatus reported. The report said the Don Mariano Transport bus (PVG-393) hit a tricycle, an electric post and a traffic light before ramming a commercial establishment. A separate report on dzXL radio said the bus also damaged several establishments, including a bank, a parlor, a and beerhouse. Bystanders rushed a tricycle driver injured in the incident to a nearby hospital. An initial investigation showed the bus was plying the Novaliches-Baclaran route and was not carrying any passenger at the time of the accident. Police are investigating what caused the accident, the report said. — LBG, GMA News
