Hacker group hits NASA site, hints at joining hacktivists

After attacking a forum site of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, a hacker group hinted this week at joining a hacktivist group in a “major operation." The TeaMp0isoN hacker group dropped the hint on its Twitter account before midnight Monday (Manila time), but declined to give details of the supposed joint target. "This coming to a screen near you........ a #TeaMp0isoN & #Anonymous Joint project," it said. It dropped a similar hint in a data dump of its hack on NASA’s forum site on Pastie.org. "NOTE: A joint #TeaMp0isoN & #Anonymous Operation is about to hit the interwebs soon," it said. But it was not immediately clear if TeaMp0isoN had patched things up with another hacker group, Lulz Security, which had been involved in high-profile hack attacks in past months. Earlier this year, TeaMp0isoN vowed to unmask LulzSec’s members. Meanwhile, TeaMp0isoN attacked the NASA discussion forum, saying it is vulnerable to SQL injection. It exposed the login details of the website admin, The Hacker News reported. The affected NASA discussion site was offline as of 7 a.m. Tuesday (Manila time). "If s*** like this is vulnerable to public exploits, imagine whats vulnerable to private 0days :)," TeaMp0isoN said, with 0days apparently referring to zero-day vulnerabilities. "NASA Vulnerable to a public SQLi Exploit - Embarassing much? #TeaMp0isoN," the group added on its Twitter account. — RSJ, GMA News
